Surveyors have now been added to the list of Professional, Scientific and Technical Services "Permitted Work Premises" commencing from midnight on 5th August 2020. This allows some capacity for field surveys to continue during the Stage 4 Restrictions, but our Professional associations are still in discussion with the State Government seeking further clarity on what may or may not be permitted survey field work, given the significant variations in works that surveyors undertake across numerous fields of expertise (not just construction).

Thomas & George P/L Offices have been closed during Stage 4 Covid19 Restrictions and all staff are now working remotely from home. Being located on the rural fringe of Melbourne, this has some internet capacity challenges, particularly with other family Members trying to also access internet at the same time

As a small business, we like many other businesses are trying to adapt on the fly with these very challenging times, so that we can continue to provide appropriate support for our clients, staff and Yarra Valley community. Whilst we may have technical permission to undertake field survey works, we will be adopting a "conservative approach" on what field survey works may be undertaken in consideration of all safety concerns, not just Covid 19.
